FREE REIGN Drummer Added To ROCK 'N' ROLL FANTASY CAMP
February 10, 2010This month's Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp — to be filmed by Mark Burnett Productions for a four-episode, one-hour series that will air this July on VH1 Classic — can now boast an NFL player as one of this year's campers.
Dallas Cowboys offensive lineman Cory Procter — drummer for FREE REIGN, the Dallas metal band he formed with fellow teammates Marc Colombo (vocals, guitar) and Leonard Davis (bass) and non-football player Justin Chapman (guitar) — will perform alongside members of KISS, VAN HALEN, POISON, MOTÖRHEAD, TRAFFIC and WINGER this February 23-28 in Los Angeles.
Procter's rock star skills will be put to the test as he participates in the acclaimed musical adventure that takes attendees through grueling and joyful days like those of their favorite musicians. Each day a new thrilling challenge exists for the "rock campers" from the audition process, to forming bands, writing and recording music and finally culminating in a "battle of the bands" concert at a legendary Los Angeles venue.
The participants are led through day-long sessions by some of the best in the music business. Already onboard to mentor the rock campers:
* Bret Michaels (POISON)
* Ace Frehley (KISS)
* Michael Anthony (VAN HALEN, CHICKENFOOT)
* Mark Farner (GRAND FUNK RAILROAD)
* Lita Ford (THE RUNAWAYS)
* Lemmy Kilmister (MOTÖRHEAD)
* Dave Mason (TRAFFIC)

"Rock 'N' Roll Fantasy Camp has been changing the lives of non-professional music lovers for years," says Camp founder David Fishof, "and the rock and roll legends who mentor them also wind up inspired by the interactions."
Since 1997, Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp has been giving individuals — regardless of their musical ability — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to live like a rock star and jam with their idols. The sessions begin with an opening night party and include intensive rehearsals with rock star counselors and jams, master classes and question-and-answer sessions with rock legends, recording an original song at historic studios and conclude with a sold-out, closing night performance at a legendary club. It's a dream come true for any music fan.
Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy Camp takes place annually in London at Abbey Road Studios and Los Angeles. Other camp locations have included New York and Las Vegas.
